Kitchen Consultation

When you invite me into your kitchen for the first time, we talk about your frustrations and goals. This is the first step to creating a practical, sustainable and enjoyable kitchen life. A Kitchen Consultation is just what you need to get motivated.

Kitchen Consultations are $150 for two hours.

Once we establish your needs, you can choose a package, or combine components to create a customized solution.

Customized Packages
Each package includes two coaching sessions of 2 hours each AND one month of phone calls and e-mails with The Kitchen Director.

Additional Sessions

You may want to purchase additional sessions with The Kitchen Director to expand your skills and knowledge in the kitchen.
Sessions are priced at $75 per hour. If you would like to buy more than four sessions, a discount applies.  Please call to discuss your best options.

1. Mealtime Management – Learn to delegate and reduce the stress.
With this package, you will learn to apply simple management tools in your kitchen life, so you can do as much or as little cooking as you want, while keeping meals healthy.  You run the household, so invest in what you need to do it well.

2. Easy Entertaining – Impress yourself and entertain your guests.
You can use this package with a particular event in mind, or to just to get into the mood to entertain.  Having people over is fun when the host is happy and relaxed.  Remember, every package includes 30 days of email and phone access, so you can feel confident as your event draws near.

3. Confident Cooking – Learn how to cook your way every day.
If your cooking skills stop at boiling water, or if you cringe at the idea of cooking at all, but have to anyway, this package is for you.  Some ideas of things we can address are substitutions, adjustments, expanding recipes and freezing for the future.  I don’t promise that you will love cooking, but we will figure out how to make cooking easier for you.

4.    Gourmet Gatherings – Share your kitchen coach with your friends.
This is a combination of workshop and gathering of friends.  Together we decide what the focus will be, and then we set a date for the gathering.  Please note that pricing will vary depending on your particular event.

5. Brilliant Budgeting – Develop financial literacy in the kitchen.
Food alone accounts for a large part of a family’s budget.  Add to that the kitchen tools, gadgets, and treats, and it’s easy to get into financial trouble.  We will create the tools you need to keep an eye on your spending, and to become financially literate.  Getting a clear sense of your kitchen finances will keep your food investments wise, and your splurges guilt-free.

6. Diet Decoder
Whatever dietary change you are making, whether inspired by allergies, chronic illness, weight change, heart health or simply eating more fresh foods, a change to how you eat is difficult.  I will not tell you what to eat (get that from your health care professional), but I will help you acheive your desired results.

7. Optimal Organization – Get clarity, confidence and control in your kitchen.
Once everything in the kitchen has a logical place, that everyone can reach what they need, and that the clutter is gone, planning, delegating and cooking become much easier.  In this process we will also determine what tools you may need to supplement your needs.

9. Market Meandering & Label Literacy – Shop smart, cook healthy, and eat well.
We are learning about the quality and provenance of ingredients on food labels; we are not counting calories, or fibre.  Learn about new fruits and vegetables, how to incorporate new ingredients into your diet, and which kind of apples are best for pies.
